Almost 100 businesses, individuals, advisers and funders have made it to the shortlists for this year's East Midlands Dealmakers Awards, in one of the most competitive set of entries in the event's two decade history.

"The judges were presented with a particularly testing set of nominations for this year's awards." said Insider editor Kurt Jacobs, who chaired the judging session. "They were faced with the double challenge of great quality and great quantity.

"It's a testament to the sector's strength that there has been no drop in standards, despite a challenging few years."
